So…are you curious about who will be coming to the 25th Annual Carolina Blues Festival, presented by YES! Weekly? Can you keep a secret?  So can we!! Weekly present the Carolina Blues Festival Press Conference/Kick-Off Party!  It will be held at Cafe Europa, downtown Greensboro on Davie Street, right next to the Cultural Center.  Owen Poteat will be our special musical guest.  All media is invited, of course.  So is everyone who wants to A)find out who’s playing B)enjoy Cafe Europa’s Wine Wednesday specials C)catch a great set of blues from Owen Poteat.  And we’ll also unveil the winning entry of the YES! Weekly Poster Contest….(which reminds me…)

Attention all artists, graphic designers or anyone with a flair for creativity:  YES! Weekly has just announced its annual Poster Contest for the Carolina Blues Festival.  YES! Guitarist, singer, harmonica player and songwriter Grady Champion released two very impressive recordings in 1999 and 2001 for Shanachie Records. Both his debut, “Payin’ For My Sins” and “2 Days Short of a Week” put Champion on the national touring blues map and helped launch his career beyond the boundaries of his native Jackson, Mississippi.
