Barnes & Noble.com Offers Free Tunes With Cheap Textbooks January 4, 2010

Barnes & Noble.com (www.bn.com), a wholly owned subsidiary of Barnes & Noble, Inc., the world’s largest bookseller, announced today its online textbook store’s “Cheap Textbooks, Free Tunes” promotion

Customers who purchase any new or used textbook from December 26, 2009, through January 30, 2010 can pick 10 free song downloads from a choice of 30, including titles such as Au Revoir Simone’s “All or Nothing,” Vampire Weekend’s “Horchata,” Neko Case’s “Red Tide,” Diane Birch’s “Nothing But A Miracle,” Grizzly Bear’s “Cheerleader,” and Gossip’s “Heavy Cross.”

In addition, customers who tell 10 friends about the promotion will be able to pick an additional 10 tracks to download.

Barnes & Noble.com’s Textbooks store (www.bn.com/textbooks) offers savings of up to 90% on used textbooks and up to 30% on new textbooks.

In addition, customers receive free shipping on all new textbooks. Barnes & Noble will feature this promotion on BN.com, through campus marketing, customer emails, and Barnes & Noble’s Facebook (www.facebook.com/barnesandnoble) and Twitter pages.
